Varifocal Lens
It's the only vendor in the market that has developed this feature giving its clients exceptional advantages even compared with higher resolution cameras. This means you are not stuck with the precalibrated permanent lens but can adjust it at different settings and positions. The adjusted lens setting is calibrated during the Dynamic Calibration of the Vicon software. This requires extensive algorithm development that Vicon has invested for excellent results.
GrayScale Detection
Vicon developed Grayscale technology many years ago to enhance marker detection especially when markers are close to overlapping each other in the view on one camera. Better detection means less Vicon cameras to do the same job that other systems strugle to do.
Excellent software all-in-one
You will use one software for data collection and analysis within the same database. All other vendors will use 3rd party software for analysing the data (other databases, another environment). Vicon implements the latest research in its software giving the comfort that you use the latest tools in your research and services.
Subject Calibration
All other companies are now using autolabel techniques that Vicon developed 15 years ago. Vicon now uses advanced scaling algorithms for subject calibration. You can apply these operations to any subject, animal, or prop and enjoy autolabelling working perfectly.
Structured Database
Vicon has XML based structured database environment for the measurements. This means that while you create or modify Projects --> Subject Classifications --> Subjects -- > Sessions, within the Vicon Environment, folders are created, renamed, or erased silently in the background. You can just copy and paste your data on another PC and that will keep its structure.
